The Inca capital of Cuzco.  Cuzco sits at about 3200 meters above sea level and has a moderate dry climate.  When you first arrive from sea level you really notice the altitude walking up some of the steep hills.

Here you can see the "Plaza de Armes" which has two large Spanish churches and plenty of shops around it.

These ladies parade around where tourists are and get you to take photos of them.  Then they ask for some money in return.
One of the many Peruvian kids running around the main square.  Lots of kids hang out here selling everything from Coca leaves to shoe-shines to junk trinkets.
On top of the hill over looking Cuzco this 4 meter tall Jesus stands watching, making sure all is well.

One of the many steep narrow streets around the Plaza De Armes in Cuzco.

"The archaeological capital of the Americas and the oldest continuously inhabited city on the continent, Cuzco is now an important link in the South American travel network.  Its legacy as the hub of the Inca empire is readily apparent: Most of the city streets are lined with Inca-built stone walls and crowded with Quecha-speaking descendants of the Incas.
