Red Deer River

The Red Deer River runs from beautiful prarie parklands to rugged badlands in central Alberta. We did a short weekend canoe trip on this calm water, starting at Content Bridge, near Stettler, AB and finishing at the TL Ranch, near Trochu, AB.
The red star marks the location of this stretch of the river.

Our first day started out with beautiful weather and stayed that way. We traveled 40km from Content Bridge to Mackenzie Crossing, near Big Valley. Erin and Gerhard are leading the pack followed by Dave and Cecile.
