Australia
Sept 1998 - Aug 1999
I spent 3 months traveling in Australia and 7 months living in Sydney and working to top up my bank account. See the Sydney section for pictures from that part of Australia. I traveled down the east coast to Sydney, stopped for a while and then continued around the south coast to Adelaide and all the way up to Darwin. The outback and Kakadu National Park, near Darwin were my favourite parts of Australia.
It’s a nice civilized place to travel and if you are used to the excitement of developing nations, you might find it a little dull. I always say it’s just like Canada, except it’s warm and there is no (ice) hockey.

This is Lake Mackenzie on Fraser island, Queensland. Lovely white sand turns the water a beautiful light blue that fades out to dark blue as the water gets deeper.
