April 2005 In April 2005, I got the opportunity to got snowcat skiing at Chatter Creek, which is a backcountry lodge near Golden, BC. We flew in by helicopter and stayed for 3 days using the snowcat to access all the terrain around the lodge. Snowboarding Chatter Creek
February 2005 In late February 2005 Daymon Miller and I headed out to the Jasper Icefields parkway with some gear and attempted to summit Observation Peak (3174m). It’s a relatively straight-forward peak in the summer, but not so easy in winter. The total gain is 1100 meters over powder snow, wind-blown slow, rock with steep ice and rock near the summit. February 2005 Photo Journal of our Winter trip to Lake O'Hara. On Feb 11, 2005 we booked the Elizabeth Parker Hut at Lake O’Hara in Yoho National Park. August 2004 A 3-day backpack into Mt. Assiniboine yielded a Grizzly Bear and her two cubs, green alpine meadows thick with colourful flowers, plentiful views and a great waterfall by which to cook dinner. Grizzly Bears at Mt. Assiniboine
July 2004 A weekend of backpacking around Lake Minnewanka ended with a fun jump of the 10m tall bridge into Stewart Canyon. The swarms of tourists completely enjoyed the entertainment and told us so after we rock-climbed our way out of the canyon. Backpacking Lake Minnewaka
